Community Cats
In 2017, in an effort to support shelter best practices for community cats, Michigan Pet Fund Alliance and Michigan Humane Society cooperatively developed a Joint Statement on Community Cat Programs (available here).
The two organizations strongly support comprehensive lifesaving initiatives for cats, and encourage all animal control and animal protection agencies in Michigan to include community cat programs in their operations.
Michigan shelters and rescue groups were asked to show their support by signing onto the initiative.
