2010 Save Rate Report - Too many shelters are either stuck in their old ways of doing things - some dogs it is impossible to teach a new trick - or they have started to believe their own marketing hype.
So if you don't like how your hometown shelter(s) stacks up - call your City Council or County Board of Commission and tell them you want the shelter to improve and you want more accountability of your tax dollars. Call the Executive Director or Board Members of the not for profit shelter and let them know that if they don't improve you will move your charitable contribution to a shelter with a better performance.

YOU have the power to make them do better! You have the power to make Michigan a No-Kill state.
