Behavior Resources

Unfortunately too many people do not understand that companion animals DO NOT train themselves.  Like children companion animals need exercise, discipline and love.  We provide training DVD’s for new adopters that address issues such as:

Dogs Cats
Crate Training

Preparing Your Home

House Training

Litter Box Training

Chewing

Playtime & Toys

Jumping

Introductions

Mouthing Scratching
Manners & Obedience Kids & Cats

Spraying

If your pet has serious behavior issues you will need to contact a professional to assist you.   We recommend the use of positive reinforcement training and methods.  Also make sure your animal has been seen by a Veterinarian to rule out any medical issues that could be influencing the behavior.

The following techniques/equipment may be used in difficult situations by a trained professional if the situation warrents: choke chains, pinch collars, shock equipment, and alpha rollovers.

Training never involves a  tool or technique that causes harm to a dog including but not limited to; injury, pain, fear, or mistrust, be it physical, psychological, emotional or behavioral. Any type of physical punishment and/or domination, hanging, kicking or hitting of any kind, or any other tool or technique that causes fear or pain for the dog is abuse and should NEVER be used.
